We’re doing something totally new, so we expect that you might have a few questions. Below we’ve answered some of the most common queries for you.
There are some vehicles that we won’t be able to give you an instant valuation for (see T&Cs here), but once you provide the details of your vehicle, a dealer will get in touch with you to organise a valuation.
A number of variables are factored in to determine your vehicle price. These include the condition of the vehicle and the current market price for the make, model and age of your vehicle.
Please note that the instant price is subject to an inspection of your vehicle and the T&Cs. If the condition of the vehicle is different than you have indicated, we may revise the amount we offer you.
Once your online trade-in valuation has been submitted, one of our sales team will contact you to arrange an inspection at your nearest Victorian Subaru dealer. One of our valuation team members will perform a visual assessment of the vehicle to ensure it matches your online condition report. Please make sure you bring the car’s logbooks, registration documentation and the vehicle keys.
Our sales team are available 7 days from 8am to 6pm and in most cases you’ll be contacted the same day or next business day - depending on the day and time you submitted your valuation.
Currently trade-in valuations completed online can only be inspected by Victorian Subaru dealers. A full Australian rollout of this service will occur during 2019.
Your trade-in price will be valid for 14 days, from when you submit the trade-in valuation online. If you haven’t arranged for a vehicle inspection within the 14 days, the original valuation is no longer valid and you’ll have to resubmit your request.
No, the first price will be the best and fairest price we will offer. Subaru dealers will not haggle, undercut or revise the trade-in amount once it has been submitted online.
Yes, but you must obtain a letter from your finance institution indicating the outstanding balance. The amount offered will be paid to your financial institution once the vehicle has been traded in. If the offer is higher than the vehicle payout figure, the difference will be paid to you (or the registered owner) via direct credit to your bank account or by bank cheque.
Yes. However we won’t be able to provide an instant vehicle price online. Once you complete the online valuation process, our sales team will contact you to arrange a visual inspection of your vehicle to provide you with an accurate price.
* Not all vehicles are eligible for an instant price, and in some cases we don’t have the data to calculate an instant price. Offers won’t be made for cars over 10 years old or with more than 150,000kms on the odometer. We also won’t make offers for vehicles that have been in a major accident, or if any warning lights on the dashboard are illuminated. Click here for the detailed T&Cs.
